And this is the sketch that simply exemplifies the creepy smile. That is a look of pure malicious intent, mixed somehow with an air of innocence and all drawn so delicately as to be beautiful. The motion in the hair makes me want to reach out and brush it out of his eyes. Interestingly, the image takes up the entire paper, extending above the holes. The animators put some loving effort and care into it.
